New Independent Living

I got a new apartment without any help from anyone which is new to me. But it did came with headaches though. First of all, my new landlord did not do a walk-through to ensure that everything is in order before move-in. So of course, I had some complaints on my first day and it was taken care of right away. When I first walked in with landlord, there was a smell of 420 smoke lingering in the living room. Miss landlord acted like she didn't noticed at first and didn't comment when I stated that I smell weed smoke. Weeks later, I experienced the smokes coming from next unit which includes a indoor common walk-through for two smaller units so therefore, my neighbors smoke inside that small area instead of being outside. So I had to endured that on a regular basis and I am already in my first month of the lease. I also had to deal with the thin walls because I can HEAR every footsteps and doors above my ceiling and opposite of my bedroom walls. It feel like someone was inside my home but it was those units above and next to me. That got me thinking that this will be my short term residence after all and already planning my next move after my lease is over next year.

A Waste of Life: Freddie Gray Died with a Broken Neck and No Charges.

Here we go again.....

The latest cop shooting caused an uproar right here in Baltimore, MD.

Baltimore City Police Dept arrested a man who was badly injured in the process and refused medical treatment which led to his death a week later. The community is concerned about the way police are treating black individuals and excessive racial profiling on the streets. The video clips that witnesses recorded show limited action between the police officers and Freddie Gray. One of the clip showed Gray's limp legs as he was dragged to the police van in handcuffs while screaming. He asked for his inhaler and police ignored his cry for help.

The community in Baltimore City had protests everyday since his death and demanded that Mayor and other government officials do something about bad policing on people and stop racial profiling.
